Feature

Select it.
Say what to change.

Highlight a sentence, hold ⌥⇧E, and say the edit out loud: “make this shorter and less formal,” “turn this into bullet points.” The rewrite lands in place. If it’s wrong, ⌘Z puts everything back exactly as it was.

Safe by construction

It edits your selection. Nothing else.

Exact range

The selection is the contract

Velora captures the precise editable range you selected. If that range changes before the rewrite is ready (you clicked, typed, or the app moved things) it refuses to replace rather than guessing where your text went.

Any instruction

Describe it like you would to a friend

“Shorter.” “Friendlier.” “Make it a list.” “Fix the grammar but keep my phrasing.” The local cleanup model applies your instruction to exactly the words you selected.

Reversible

⌘Z is the guarantee

The rewrite is a normal edit in the app you’re in, so the app’s own undo restores your original text exactly. No proprietary history to trust.

Local

Your draft stays yours

The selected text and your spoken instruction are processed on your Mac. Nothing about your document is uploaded, logged remotely, or used to train anything.

The fine print

  • Voice Edit works where macOS exposes an editable selection through accessibility; apps that hide their text are refused, not guessed at.
  • The rewrite quality is the cleanup model’s — review it like you would a colleague’s suggestion.
  • The default shortcut is ⌥⇧E and can be changed in Settings › Shortcuts.
