Owned drafts
It only rewrites its own words
Every provisional update proves it is still in the same app, the same text field, the same range, with the same draft it wrote, before touching anything. Your surrounding text is never in play.
Feature · new
Press ⌃⇧S and a live draft appears at your cursor as you speak. Say “3 p.m., no, 6 p.m.” and watch the draft correct itself, then settle into clean text.
Why it feels different
Most live dictation buys immediacy by gambling with your document. Stream Typing is built so the worst case is always “the final text is on your clipboard,” never “it ate my paragraph.”

You always win
Press any real key or click anywhere and Velora stops rewriting immediately. The finished text is already staged on your clipboard before the last replacement, so nothing is lost.
Terminals
Terminals don’t expose readable text, so Velora shows the live draft in its own HUD and inserts one polished final when you finish. It never fires blind backspaces at a shell.
Opt-in
Stream Typing has its own shortcut. Ordinary hold-to-talk keeps the lower-latency final-only path. You pick the feel per dictation, not in a settings maze.
Free. Open source. Local.
